We've created a comprehensive guide for you to follow [here](/getting-started/adding-hyungpt-to-your-server). # Adding hyunGPT to your Server Don't know how to get hyunGPT into your server? Don't worry! It only takes two minutes and the steps below will help you through it. ## Don't have a Discord server? If you don't yet own a Discord server, make sure to create one! This is where you'll be able to use hyunGPT. 1. Once logged into your Discord account, press the "Add a Server" button

## Once you have a server... 1. Head over to [hyungpt.app](https://hyungpt.app) 2. Press the "Invite Now" button
3. You'll then be redirected to the default Discord authorization page. Select your server in which you want to hyunGPT to be invited to:
4. After selecting a server and clicking the "continue" button, **you'll have to grant hyunGPT the listed permissions which is required for hyunGPT to talk and work correctly.**
5. After clicking **"Authorize"**, you may be prompted to complete a captcha which ensures you're a real human. Click on the "I am a human" button to verify and once complete, you should receive an "Authorized" message meaning you've successfully invited hyunGPT to the server! # Using the Chatbot The hyunGPT chatbot is a great way to do everything in one place - generate images, interact with YouTube videos, and more! To start using the chat bot, you can simply mention it (e.g. `@hyunGPT hello!`). Alternatively, if you would like to have more customization options, continue reading below\... To start chatting with the bot, you can enable what we call a "session" with the `/session start` command. Before running the command, you also have the option to choose from our dozens of personalities!
Once a session has been started, hyunGPT will respond to all of the messages in the channel as the personality you chose. There are additional settings you can customize via the `/session settings` command.
Here is a list of all the features hyunGPT is capable of within a session with the chatbot: 1. **Chat with the chatbot** Obviously, you're able to chat with the chatbot within a session. This is easy - just send a message in the channel!
2. **Generate images** Inside the chatbot, you're also able to generate images. To do this, simply send any message asking the bot to generate an image!
3. **Read images** hyunGPT can read images too! Simply upload your image to the channel and ask your question!
4. **Watch videos** Along with reading images, hyunGPT can also watch videos. Simply upload it to the channel and ask your question!
5. **Send Voice Messages (Beta)** hyunGPT can also send voice messages. You can set a custom voice via the `/session set_voice` command, by uploading an mp3 of the voice. More information can be found [here](/fundamentals/advanced-customization/custom-voices-beta).

Get ready to enhance hyunGPT's capabilities and make it even more useful for you. Buckle up, because we're diving in right now! # Chat Personalities Personas are who you are talking to when you talk to the chatbot! ## Changing the Persona If you are outside of a session (are pinging the bot/using "hyungpt") there is no way to change the personality. However, you can do so in a session. To change the personality within a session, run `/session end` to end the session. Then, run `/session start`, and in the `persona` option, select the personality you would like to use. It's as easy as that! We're working on creating more and more personalities, and you can suggest new ones in our [Discord server](https://discord.gg/hyunGPT). ## Choosing From a Pre-Made Personality When creating a brand new session in a channel with `session start`, you're provided with an option to choose from personalities.
There is a growing list of a massive amount of personalities that we've pre-made for you to choose from! If you don't see it at first, it might just not be on the first page. You can start typing to search for who you want to talk to. If you can't find a personality you would like to, don't worry! You can set a custom personality. ## Setting Custom Personalities If you are a Patreon Supporter ([patreon.com/hyunGPT](https://patreon.com/hyunGPT/membership)) you have the option to create a custom personality! Here are the steps to do so... 1. **Start a session.** It doesn't matter what personality you choose, just choose any! We're going to be changing it anyways..
2. Once you have the chatbot session started, type in `/session settings`. But don't press enter! Select the `setting_name` option and choose `persona_name`
3. Next, press the `new_value` option. You'll see that no options show up, and this is so you can type the name of who you want to talk to!
4. Once you have that done, press enter, and continue.
Congratulations! You have set the name of your personality. Now, run `/session settings` again, but this time, instead of choosing the `persona_name` option, choose `persona_info`. Fill in whatever you would like: backstory, how it talks, etc!
6. Now, press enter once you're satisfied, and again, press the green "Continue" button to save your changes.
Congratulations (again)! You have now set the custom personality entirely. You've changed the name AND the personality information for your new character!
# Custom Voices (Beta) Within a session, hyunGPT can send voice messages:
In order to enable this feature, you must set a custom voice via `/session set_voice` and upload an mp3 (audio) file of the voice you would like to replicate. After done so, hyunGPT will now reply with an audio message along with it's regular message to all messages. ### What are the restrictions? Currently, hyunGPT's custom voice feature have a few restrictions: 1. We only support English language as of now ### What makes a good audio file? In order to have good results with your custom voice, it is crucial to upload an audio file with the following: 1. A clear, crisp, audio file, without background noise 2. Only the voice that you would like to replicate, without other voices (e.g. a podcast clip would not be good, as there are usually more than one voice). 3. An MP3 audio file with a length greater than 30 seconds. ### Where can I find a good audio file? Sometimes, it can be difficult to find a good audio file! Don't worry, we have your back. If you want to clone your own voice: 1. Record yourself speaking for about a minute, it can be a story, article, or something else. 2. Make sure there is no background noise or other voices in the audio recording. Find a quiet place to record! If you want to use someone else's voice: 1. If they are a public figure, always make sure that you have their permission! 2. If it's a public figure, you can most likely find clips of them talking on a social media site such as YouTube. Try to find a video of only them talking, with no other voices. 3. Once you have found a YouTube video, you can download the mp3 of it using a site like , make sure to download the audio, not the video. And that's it! Note that the voice messages will not sound perfect, as we're still developing and improving this feature! # Webhooks (Custom PFP + Name) Many users would like to change hyunGPT's profile picture along with its username for more immersive of a chat experience, but don't know how. The answer is webhooks! {% hint style="info" %} The webhooks feature is only available to premium subscribers. Upgrade at {% endhint %} In order to create your webhook, you must have the following permissions in your server: * Manage Webhooks Then, follow these steps to set up your webhook: 1. Create a webhook. To do this, enter your channel settings and press "Integrations". Inside, Open the "Webhooks" tab.
2. Create a webhook. Once you have gotten to the page, press "Create Webhook" and start editing the webhook's information. This includes the name and profile picture.
3. Save your webhook's data. Then, press on the "Copy Webhook URL" button. You should have a link similar to this: > 4. Then, create a session in the same channel that you created the webhook in.
5. Run the /session settings command with the setting `webhook_url` set to the webhook URL you specified.
6. Test it out by sending a message in the channel!
Congratulations! You have successfully created a webhook for the bot to send messages through. Keep note that changing the username and PFP of the bot will not change the personality, refer to [Chat Personalities](/fundamentals/advanced-customization/chat-personalities) on how to do that! # Using Voice Chat :warning:This is a premium benefit for subscribers. Upgrade at ! The voice chat feature allows you to speak to hyunGPT 1:1 in the voice channel! This is how you use it: 1. **Join a voice channel**

It's relatively strait forward to start using... 1. Type `/image ask` in the message box 2. In the `image` option, upload the image you would like to ask a question about 3. In the `prompt` option, simply write out what your question is. Here are some examples!
# Image Blend Blending images together is an amazing tool when you would like to combine images effortlessly. To blend images together, you will use the `/image blend` command. Similar to the `/image ask` command, it's pretty straightforward. 1. For both `image_one` and `image_two` parameters, upload the images you would like to blend together 2. For the `prompt` parameter, write out what you are expecting the output to be. Then press enter and wait! Processing should be complete within twenty seconds, but may take longer if the command hasn't been ran in a while. Look at the following example!
# Image Generation Image generation is a powerful tool powered by hyunGPT's latest models. {% hint style="info" %} **Good to know:** Prompts are one of the most important things to master when generating content (not just images!) with hyunGPT. {% endhint %} To generate images with hyunGPT, use the `/image generate` command. The following options are required: * **Prompt**: The prompt of your image. The more descriptive you are, the better. * **Model:** The model that you'll use to generate your image. Models starting with `HYUN` are hyunGPT's custom models, with `HYUN_ANYTHING` being our latest and most advanced model. We also have many other recent models such as `DALLE-3` and `SDXL`. * **Style:** This is the style of your image. For example, if you would like your image to be in the style of Disney, you might choose the `DISNEY` style. If you would like no style (image only follows your prompt), select `NO_STYLE` * **Ratio:** This is the dimensions of your image! The format is `height:width`, so selecting 16:9 will create a rectangle image. If you would like to further customize your generated images, feel free to explore our additional options... * **Images:** This specifies the amount of images you would like to generate. You can make up to 10 at a time! *(Subscribers only)* * **Negative Prompt:** The negative prompt is what you DON'T want your image to include. For example, if you wanted to generate a picture of a street but don't want it to be blurry, you could put "blurry" in the negative prompt. * **Steps:** Steps are the amount of iterations the image generator goes through to make your image. Generally, 30 steps tends to work well, but anything less than that can result in incomplete images. * **CFG:** The CFG (classifier-free guidance scale) determines how much the image follows your prompt. A low number means that it doesn't follow your prompt as much, while a high number means it follows your prompt exactly. Think about it as controlling how creative the model can be! * **Seed:** This is the starting point of your image. Seeds can be any number, and it's usually selected randomly. If you use the same seed twice, you'll most likely get around the same image. * **Enhance Prompt:** If you're not good at writing prompts, don't worry! hyunGPT offers a setting for you to use AI to enhance your prompt, and by toggling this on, AI will make your prompt better in the background. *(Subscribers only)* Awesome! To access image remix on hyunGPT, use the `/image remix` command. It's pretty similar to the `/image generate` command, except you get the option to also upload an image! * **Image:** The image that you would like to guide your prompt. The output will be similar to the one you upload. * **Prompt**: The prompt of your image. The more descriptive you are, the better. # Image To-Prompt Turning images into prompts are especially useful when you want to recreate an image! To do this, simply upload your image or enter the url to the `/image to-prompt` command.
# Image Upscale Blurry image? No problem! Upload it to hyunGPT's image upscale and have it super-resolutioned up to 4076px! To access hyunGPT's image upscale, simply use the `/image upscale` command and upload your image or enter the image URL. Processing shouldn't take more than 5-10 seconds.
# Music Generator hyunGPT's music generator is a beta feature that allows users to generate music To access hyunGPT's music generator and start making music with AI, use the `/music-generator` commands. We have two models: a simple version and a premium one. The simple version allows for users to generate up to five second of decent-quality music. This is accessible via the `/music-generator simple` command. Here's how to use it: 1. Type `/music-generator simple` in the chat box and select the command. 2. In the `prompt` option, type what you want the music to sound like. For example, you could type "funky synth solo"! Then, press enter. Processing usually completes under 10-15 seconds, but it depends on wait times. After it's complete, you should have something like this!

To use it, you can use the `/music-generator premium` command... 1. Type `/music-generator premium` into the message box and select the command 2. For the `prompt` parameter, type what you would like the music to sound like. For example, you could type "funky synth solo"! 3. By default, it will generate eight seconds of music. You can change this with the `duration` parameter. E.g. duration: 30 4. Press enter! Your music should be generated within half a minute, but it depends on the current demand. You should have something like this!

If you encounter the problem of hyunGPT's slash commands not showing up when you type them e.g. `/ask`, then it's possible your server's permissions aren't configured correctly. Method 1: Kick and re-invite hyunGPT 1. In the server members list on the right, right-click on hyunGPT's profile and press "Kick". 2. Then, re-invite the bot with the following invite link: 3. Try typing a slash command again and see if it shows up. If it doesn't show up, you may have to dive deeper into Discord's permissions. Method 2: Modifying bot permissions *(Computer-only)* 1. Press on your server's name and enter the "Server Settings" 2. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
3. Then, press on "manage" on the hyunGPT. 4. Make sure that the Command and Permissions are all toggled on for everyone and all channels.
If you still cannot access commands, please join our [Discord server](https://discord.gg/hyunGPT) and create a ticket. ## hyunGPT doesn't respond to any of my messages, no matter what I do! How can I fix this? If hyunGPT cannot respond to any messages, please make sure it has permissions to view and send messages to the channel. You may have a role that's preventing it from chatting. Learn more about roles: * * If you don't want to go through the hassle of setting up roles, then if you have an admin or moderator role with the right permissions, you can alternatively give hyunGPT that role. ## I voted for the bot on top.gg but still can't run commands. What now? Voting for hyunGPT on top.gg is a free process that takes around 30 seconds. It's crucial for keeping this bot free and helps us out a lot. There are several reasons for you not receiving your perks after voting: 1. You haven't voted in the past 12 hours 2. The bot was offline when you voted 3. There were some technical issues in the background. If you haven't voted in the past 12 hours, vote again and you should be able to access commands. If the bot was offline when you voted (or there was some technical issues), you can wait until your next available vote, or [contact support](https://discord.gg/hyunGPT) to manually add you. ## I subscribed on Patreon but haven't received my perks yet! To receive your perks, you have to link your Discord account to Patreon. * Once you've done so, go ahead and run the `/claim-perks` command.

You do not have a pending cancellation If you still cannot link your perks, join our [Discord server](https://discord.gg/hyunGPT) and create a ticket. # Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) ## What exactly is a session and how is it different from pinging the bot? A session is created by running the `/session start` command, and will respond to every message in the channel. It is different than pinging the bot in several ways: * Memory is stored on our databases, rather than simply fetching the previous messages in the channel * This way, if you wanted to reset hyunGPT's memory, you can do so using `/session restart`. If you are simply pinging the bot, you cannot reset the bot's memory with a command. * Advanced customisation * By running the `/session settings` command, you have opportunities to customize hyunGPT further, for settings such as `respond_to_pings_only` and `vc_voice` * When creating a session, you also have the choice to select a personality. If you are simply pinging the bot, there is only the default hyunGPT personality. ## How do I make it so hyunGPT only speaks in one channel? To make hyunGPT reply to all messages in a specific channel, run the /session start command in that channel. hyunGPT will then respond to every message sent in that channel!
